Congratulations to the Digital Projects Unit (DPU) at UNT Libraries on the official release of the updated Portal to Texas History! In addition to a complete site redesign, the new Portal also features a new digital asset management system which the team designed in-house.
Attendees at last month’s Texas Conference on Digital Libraries got to see a sneak peek of the redesigned site and hear about the DPU’s user study with genealogists, a study that helped the team develop user requirements for the new Portal.
The Portal to Texas History is an online gateway to cultural heritage collections in Texas libraries and features primary source materials like photographs, maps, letters, and diaries.
