Intermediate and advanced users of DSpace have two upcoming opportunities to learn more about customizing and administering DSpace repositories at their institutions.
The Digital Projects Unit at TDL member institution the University of North Texas has released the UNT Digital Library, a centralized repository for digital collections held throughout the university’s schools, colleges, departments, and libraries.
The Texas Digital Library (TDL) and its partners have begun the process of developing a new collaborative resource for sharing water data across the state of Texas. That resource, the Texas Water Digital Library, will federate water research from across the state in a TDL-hosted DSpace repository. The repository will create a single place for researchers to search for water data from every region of the state.

On Tuesday, February 16, The Texas Digital Library development team held a demonstration of the Vireo 1.0.1 release at TDL headquarters at UT Austin. Lab instances of the new version will be available for testing by TDL member institutions beginning February 17.
