Texas Digital Library Five Year Plan

The Texas Digital Library is currently in the third year of a five-year plan to create and evaluate a state-wide infrastructure for digital information management and sharing.

Year 1: Start-Up

2005-2006
Establish presence, core technology, and a basic set of services.

Year 2: Plan

2006-2007
Plan infrastructure and develop policies for content submission and management.

Year 3: Demonstrate

2007-2008
Demonstrate infrastructure and policies for content submission and management. Develop and test customized ETD common submission system.

Year 4: Deploy

2008-20009
Deploy infrastructure and policies for content submission throughout Texas.

Year 5: Assess

2009-2010
Assess impact of TDL services on higher education in Texas.
