TDL members are invited to attend a half-day ETD Metadata Best Practice Guidelines preconference on June 4th.

This information session, designed for TDL members, will concentrate on the MODS application profile for Electronic Theses and Dissertations (ETDs), which provides the foundation for ETD records in both the TDL repository and the TDL Thesis and Dissertation Submittal System. Using the forthcoming TDL Best Practice Guidelines for ETDs, participants will be provided an overview of the TDL MODS ETD elements. Discussion will include the impact of the Thesis and Dissertation Submittal System on metadata creation.

The session will include lecture and small group discussion. Member participants will have an opportunity to ask questions and give feedback for the Metadata Working Group.To register, email: a.rushing@austin.utexas.edu
