TDL upgrades Vireo ETD software to version 1.2.1

The Texas Digital Library has upgraded all its hosted Vireo installations to Vireo 1.2.1, the latest version of the software. Vireo was developed by the Texas Digital Library to allow for online submission, management, and publication of electronic theses and dissertations.

The latest version of Vireo fixes an issue with the birth year field in the student submission interface, handling entry errors in this field more elegantly and allowing administrators to edit the field. It also fixes several bugs related to special characters.

The TDL hosts Vireo for many of its members. It has also made the software, including the latest upgrade, available under an open-source license on SourceForge.

For more information about Vireo, see the TDL website and user documentation.
