Join the TDL Metadata Community

The Texas Digital Library is pleased to announce the creation of a TDL Metadata Community for librarians and others in Texas engaged with metadata issues.

This open group will be chaired by Sarah Potvin, Metadata Librarian at the Texas A&M Libraries. Initially, the group will center around the TDL Metadata Email List, which will provide a forum for discussion and mutual support on issues of concern to the community. Out of this broad community and under the chair’s leadership, the TDL will work to form working groups to take on projects that can benefit the TDL consortium and the state’s academic libraries.

Those wanting to be added to the list can use the “Subscribe” feature at this link, or simply email info@tdl.org with a request. The TDL encourages anyone with an interest in these issues – whether librarian, technologist, or support staff – to subscribe to the list and participate in discussions there.

The TDL Metadata Community is the successor to the TDL Metadata Working Group that existed from 2009-2011. If you have any questions, please feel free to email TDL Program Coordinator Kristi Park (kristi.park@austin.utexas.edu) or Sarah Potvin (spotvin@library.tamu.edu).
