VOLUNTEERS FAQS

The Texas Conference on Digital Libraries will be held May 21-23, 2024 at the Commons Conference Center in Austin, Texas. As a TCDL volunteer, you will receive free conference registration!

Q: Who can volunteer?

A: Anyone! We strongly encourage students and professionals of all levels to volunteer, particularly those who may not otherwise be able to attend due to the cost of registration.

Q: What kind of work will volunteers be doing?

A: Volunteer tasks may include registration table assistance, transporting materials to and from the conference center, loading and unloading, poster presentation setup, errands, and odd jobs.

Q: How long would I be required to volunteer?

A: We will ask volunteers to work four to eight hours, which can be completed all in one day or spread out over the conference week. Volunteers are welcome to attend conference sessions outside of their hours of service. Volunteer opportunities will be available from May 20-23, 2024.

Q: Why volunteer for TCDL?

A: Volunteers will receive free conference registration! As full conference attendees, our volunteers will also receive free breakfast and lunch from May 22-23.

Check out the TCDL 2024 website for more information about the conference and contact info@tdl.org if you have questions about volunteering!
