Online discussion of library responses to the COVID19 pandemic

March 20, 2020 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

free

As our universities rapidly transition to online teaching and learning as a result of the COVID19 pandemic, we invite you to join us for an opportunity to discuss how our libraries are responding, what strategies we can deploy, and especially how we can support the shift to online teaching and learning.

This discussion will be led by two leaders in the TDL community: Dr. Bruce Herbert from Texas A&M University and Kelly Visnak from UT Arlington Libraries.

Topics may include:

  • An instructor’s perspective of online teaching from Dr. Herbert
  • Libraries’ responses to online teaching needs
  • Use of OER and/or OA repositories to support online teaching
  • Strategies for maintain social distancing in physical spaces

Along with hearing from our discussion leaders, this will be an opportunity to share your libraries’ activities and ideas, strategies you are using, and challenges you’re facing.
