OER Support

Texas Digital Library is expanding our services to include support for Open Educational Resources (OER). Driven by initiatives to increase the adoption of OER from across our consortium of academic libraries, TDL is responding to the needs of our members as well as the needs of higher education students to meet their scholarly and financial challenges.

Below are some of the ways TDL members will benefit from our OER Support.

TDL OER Ambassadors

TDL’s OER Ambassadors will serve to develop a Community of Practice around OER and a source of expertise for all consortium members. Only OTN Summer Institute attendees within the TDL membership will be able to join the group at this time.

In order to be eligible, applicants must commit to serving the consortium as an OER Ambassador for a minimum of two years. View our OER Ambassadors page for more information at https://www.tdl.org/oer-support/oer-ambassadors/.

OER @ TDL Quarterly Meetings

Join Texas Digital Library and the TDL OER Ambassadors for a quarterly meeting for open education and OER practitioners. Meetings will include a mix of brief presentations, networking, and plenty of time for discussions. These meetings will not be recorded.
Quarterly meetings will be scheduled soon!

Open Education Network Membership

The Open Education Network* (OEN) is an alliance of higher education institutions committed to improving access, affordability, and academic success through the use of open textbooks. The OEN focuses on training libraries and faculty to build capacity for Open Textbook programs.
