New this year! Thanks to a generous joint donation from TDL members, Texas Digital Library is excited to offer the 2019 TCDL Student Scholarship. Five students will be selected and awarded registration for the first ever TDL Leadership Academy as well as the 2019 Texas Conference on Digital Libraries. Application deadline is March 22nd, 2019.
Why should you apply?
The Texas Conference on Digital Libraries will provide opportunities for professional development and networking within the digital library world. Meet librarians, catalogers, archivists, technical staff, repository managers as well as library faculty from across the state and gain insight into new technology and several topics relevant to the creation, promotion, and preservation of research, scholarship, and cultural heritage digital materials.
This year our theme is Breaking Down Barriers, and will feature keynote speaker Dr. Siva Vaidhyanathan. The conference goal is to spotlight innovative projects and experiences within digital libraries and other digital work/collaborations. By doing so, we collectively aim to transform and overcome hurdles between public/technical services and archives; collections and users; the “digital library” and the “library,” and among different disciplines.
Will you be submitting a poster or presentation proposal? If not, you should consider it.
Special consideration will be given to students who are submitting presentations or poster proposals. Plus, it’s a great way to showcase your Capstone Project!
