As the A&M/UT game approaches (and a football rivalry comes to an end, for now), the TAMUtimes focuses on ongoing areas of collaboration between the two universities, including projects where their libraries are working together to preserve valuable resources.
The Texas Digital Library will be attendance at the annual conference of the Texas ETD Association conference to be held February 10, 2011, on the UT Arlington campus.
The Sixth Annual International Conference on Open Repositories (OR11) will be held June 8-11, 2011, in Austin, Texas.

Tim Brace of the University of Texas at Austin has received an ETD 2010 Leadership Award from the Networked Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations. He received the honor for his work with the UT Austin ETD program and his efforts to migrate the program to the Texas Digital Library’s ETD submission and management system.
The Texas Digital Library (TDL) and its partners have begun the process of developing a new collaborative resource for sharing water data across the state of Texas. That resource, the Texas Water Digital Library, will federate water research from across the state in a TDL-hosted DSpace repository. The repository will create a single place for researchers to search for water data from every region of the state.
